Evening Practice/Tryouts are Wednesday and Thursday this week 6-7:30PM. This is an open format. If you can't make it on time don't worry just show up anytime during that window.
Morning practice starts Monday June 4th. Coaches will assign practice groups and start times. Until you are assigned follow this: Age 11-21 7:00AM Age 4-10 7:30AM.
The first meet of the season is Saturday June 9th @ Coppell YMCA. Information will be e-mailed and available at practice.
If you are not getting emails from the team please email richardson.rapids@hotmail.com and request to be added to the list.

Lone Star Results- STATE CHAMPS AGAIN!!
WOW! What a great Lone Star!! We took home the repeat of the Summer Division title as well as had a few High Point winners!! Here are the results for all events- WAY TO GO RAPIDS!!!

Rapids-
What a great season. We beat the Ryan Stingrays by only 48 points. That is just a handful of events. We went into Sunday down 83 points. Every point truly does matter.
Please join us at the Richardson YMCA on Saturday July 30th - 4:30PM for our end of the year banquet. We will have bbq, hot dogs and all the fixins.
This is a pool party so come prepared. Parents are more than welcome to join in the fun.
Awards will be handed out, and everyone will receive a participation award.
We will have all the Lone Star medals that weren't picked up, as well as any ribbons left in the box.

Lone Star Parade
Come join the Rockin Rapids!! Sunday afternoon, we will be rocking out for the annual Lone Star parade! Bring your favorite rockstar gear, air guitars, and long hair wigs!!

Here is a recap of the meeting after tonights carb-tastic dinner:
-Morning sessions are pushed back. Warm ups are now at 8AM. All other schedules are the same.
-Be on time. You cannot miss an event at Lone Star. Missing an event means DQ for the entire meet.
-Pay attention during the meet. It will go fast, attendance is down this year.
-Check in and check out with coaches. The coaches will have their chairs set up on the side of the pool you need to walk by to get to the blocks. Make sure the swimmers get their stickers for their fish.
-Do not park on the side streets. Additional parking is located throughout the athletic complex.
-Small soft sided coolers only.
-Swimmers on deck, Parents in the stands. Swimmers can of course come say hi and hang for a little bit but encourage them to be with the team on deck.
-Do not miss your relay! Check, double check, then re-check with coach if you need to be in a relay event.
-If you make a final you must come back to swim it. If you are an alternate, please try to show up. You may be placed in the event.
-Sunday 2:30PM Parade.
-Sunday Coaches Relay. Any Moms or Dads want to show off their skills? (Sunday before awards)
-Bring healthy snacks, comfortable chairs, change of swimsuit and 2 towels.

Friday July 8- Lap A Thon! Forms went home with swimmers already, so please be working on those pledges!
Monday and Tuesday, July 11 and 12- money is due for the Skate Party Pep Rally!

2.) Entry Fee for this meet is $15. Please make checks payable to Richardson YMCA. Please attach check to meet entries. If for some reason you cannot pay with check please see Sheryl Donihoo, our treasurer, to make arrangements to pay cash. We do not want any cash in the information box.
