League Champs!

Attached is the Meet information for League Champs. Entries are due at the end of practice Wednesday July 6th. Some things to note about this two day meet:

1.) Your swimmer can swim 3 events per day. Relays will be assigned by the coach.

2.) Entry Fee for this meet is $15. Please make checks payable to Richardson YMCA. Please attach check to meet entries. If for some reason you cannot pay with check please see Sheryl Donihoo, our treasurer, to make arrangements to pay cash. We do not want any cash in the information box.

Qualifying Times Change

We have changed the Qualifying times for backstroke and Freestyle events (except the 500 Free). Please see the attached new Q times in red. Basically we added +5 seconds for 50’s, +10 for 100’s and + 20 for the 200 Free.

Lone Star Warm Up & Meet Start Time Changes

We may alter the start times for Lone Star once we determine the timeline from the number of swimmers we have. Therefore: All start times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Lone Star, whether AM, PM or Finals sessions, are not final until confirmed on the Monday before Lone Star. We are trying this new this year to possibly avoid the very long breaks and long days at Lone Star. Thursday will be unaffected.

So again, I will send out a final and confirmed schedule on the Monday before Lone Star, for Warm Up and Meet Start Times for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are waiting until all entries are in before we decide this.

2011 Lone Star Pep Rally!!

Bring the entire family to Whiterock skate for some family fun. We will also have some games, prizes, and make some of our props for our LoneStar 2011 Parade. Please RSVP and let us know how many will be coming from your family. Cost is only $10 per person. Someone will be at practice the morning of July 11th and 12th to collect the money for the event.

We can only accept cash for this event.

In getting all of our swimmers ready to repeat our Championship run at Lone Star this year, please check out the Top Times list. Remember that all swimmers age 9 and up MUST have qualifying times to participate in events at Lone Star. There are 2 more meets to attain these times and the coaches will have time trials during practice after League Champs for those that still need it.

Lone Star Entries

Lone Star Entries are due tomorrow. Tuesday 7/13/2010 by 5PM. Entries are $5 per event. Relays are covered by the team general fund.

We will have one more morning of last minute time trials tomorrow. Please submit entries by 5PM. Even if you have to email them in, we can get the check from you later.

League Champs Meet July 3rd and 4th

A little information about next weekends League Champs meet.

First of all we want everyone to participate. We want to have as many relays as we can, and the more that swim, the more points we can earn.

It is a two day meet. Some events are on Saturday and some are on Sunday, so be careful when signing up. Also you need to write if you are unable to come on one day, because relays are both days so I will have to know who won't be there.It is fine if you are only available to come one day, but we would like for as many to make both days as possible.

We will get the information page out soon that will have entries and what days they are on.
The pool is outdoors and big, and we usually do not sit that close. So it is easy to miss an event. The coaches will be by the pool most of the time so it will be up to you to make sure the kids are making their events.

You must pay $5 per individual event.The team covers the cost of relays but you will have to pay for each individual event your child swims. So if they swim 3 things you need to write a check to the YMCA for $15.(This will be the same for Lone Star)Please have your check when you turn in your entries by next Wednesday.
